The Union of Concerned Scientists has posted climate change information for the state of Louisiana at: http://www.ucsusa.org/gulf/gcstatelou_cli.html
They indicate temperatures are warming and summers have become slightly drier.
Based on this information, if these trends continue, then damages from expansive clay soils in most areas of the state are likely to increase.
